Ole Wanscher Slagelse Rosewood Dining chairs (6)
ITEM #: C152
An elegant set of rosewood dining chairs by Ole Wanscher
for Slagelse. This is one of Wanscher's classic designs. It was first presented in 1942 and constructed by legendary cabinetmaker and collaborator, A.J. Iversen. It was modified several times after in different variations for different manufacturers and suppliers. This variation was made by Slagelse and differs slightly than other versions. The frames are constructed of rosewood and the material has some beautiful grain patterns throughout. The classic criss-cross back is iconic and adds a touch of elegance to design. The seats are covered in black horsehair fabric which is still in great condition. They would make wonderful addition to a formal dining environment.
