DESCRIPTION:
An oak coffee table by Mogens Koch for the Statshopitalet in Sønderborg, Denmark. Mogens Koch was a architect, designer and professor. He is most well-known for his flexible bookcase system for Rud. Rasmussen which is a classic Danish design. This table was part of a series of furniture he designed for the hospital in Sønderborg. Other pieces included sofas, benches tables and desks all dimensioned to be combined with one another. Koch's designs are usually straight-forward and minimal as is the case with this table. It is a simple round coffee table which sits upon a a four-legged base. The table is constructed entirely from solid white oak. We love the subtle details such as the slight thickening of the cross supports where they meet and the prfiled legs. This unique and rare piece would be a great addition to any modern living or office environment.
