DESCRIPTION:
An early pair of GE-233 beech easy chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner for Getama Gedsted. This is a rarely seen design by Wegner. It was one of the first pieces he drew for Getama and came in two and three seat sofa versions as well. The nice feature with this design is the adjustable sitting position. The seat slides so the user can adjust the pitch of the backrest. This makes the chair very comfortable to sit in. We see elements that are similar to Wegner's famous Cigar chair such as the large armrests that wrap around the backrest. The frames are solid beech and in very good condition. The beech has a nice warm tone to it. The original wool fabric is present and in usable condition. A classic Wegner design to add to your modern environment.
