DESCRIPTION:
A custom table program designed and manufactured by A.J. Iversen. This amazing design was a custom commission for one of Denmark's banks;
Amagerbanken. We can't say enough about this design. It is constructed of the highest quality materials and the craftsmanship is what you would expect from one of Denmark's great cabinetmakers. A requirement of
Amagerbanken must have been for these to be easily stowed away. The tabletop is removable and the frame was designed to fold or collapse. Ingenious! As well, the proportions are such that the width is half of the length so they can be used in a variety of combinations for work or conference. The special "bumpers" on each corner of the frame protrude ever so slightly so the tables can be positioned against one another without damaging the frame. What really is amazing about this design is the quality of materials. The frame is constructed of solid white oak and covered in super thick pieces of solid Brazilian rosewood. The legs are all solid rosewood as well as the banding on the tabletop. The custom hardware and hinges are all heavy duty solid brass. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a unique piece of Danish modern history for your mid-century modern home or office environment.
