DESCRIPTION:
An early elm wall cabinet designed by Tove & Edvard Kindt-Larsen for Gustav Bertelsen. This rarely seen design is gorgeous. Everything from the perfectly hand-carved handles to the selection of materials, it is a special piece. Behind the doors, we find rear and door mounted mirrors as well as a shelf for storage. The drop-down bottom door reveals more storage space and it acts as a preparation surface when in the down position. It is held in place with brass stays. The piece is constructed out of elm. Prior to the wide spread use of teak and rosewood, elm was used more often in Danish furniture construction and is a nice departure from these more often seen varieties. This is a special piece is would make a wonderful gift and woudl be a great addition to living space.
