DESCRIPTION:
Part of a complete series of pieces that included a chair,
sofas and coffee tables for legendary manufacturer France & Søn,
this daybed is surely the highlight. Functionality is the main theme
with this piece. It can simply be used as a sofa, or drop the arms using
the unique mechanisms in the backrest to convert it into a daybed. The
arms can also double as a side table in a pinch. The backrest and arms
can also be removed for a completely flat daybed. Place both pieces together
to form an amazing living room suite either perpendicular or as one long
sofa! Comfort is provided by the original spring cushions on spring
coils in the frame. Made of solid teak with the interior frame of solid
beech, the construction is of the highest quality and what one would
expect from France & Søn.
The use of wicker in the arms provides a nice contrast to the teak frame.
